Italian Cuisine Week in the World - Edinburgh 2025, our story as official sponsor
On November 26 - 27, 2025 we brought a touch of Sicily to the heart of Edinburgh as the official sponsor of Italian Cuisine Week in the World, a two-day journey where culture, hospitality and fine dining naturally met between Scotland and Italy.
The week opened at The Balmoral Hotel with a press conference and guided tasting. Producers, journalists and premium travel brands gathered to explore Sicilian stories, flavours and craftsmanship, with a thoughtful conversation around the island’s newest Blue Zone.
The mood was just right: attentive wines, curious minds and a contemporary take on the Mediterranean.

The highlight came at Broomhall House, welcomed by Lord and Lady Bruce. The evening paid homage to Andrea Camilleri’s centenary, weaving literature and cuisine under the direction of Sabrina Damiani with journalist Maria Antonietta Pioppo.
Among the dishes, chef Emmanuel Di Liddo and Francesco Piparo served a Sicilian anelletti timbale and lasagne with ragù and aubergine, a precise, heartfelt tribute to memory and place. The closing event at the Italian Institute of Culture opened these tastes and stories.

Here, the table was part of the narrative. We dressed each setting with pure linen Armida, generous drops, centred runners and napkins in natural palettes: ivory, sand, forest green, midnight blue; framing light, materials and the menu’s colour harmony without overshadowing the cuisine.
That’s why we choose linen for occasions: crafted texture, acoustic comfort and a timeless aesthetic that suits historic houses and landmark hotels alike.
Our thanks to the Consulate of Italy in Edinburgh, the Italian Institute of Culture, Lady and Lord Bruce at Broomhall House, The Balmoral Hotel, Sabrina Damiani, and every partner involved. A cultural bridge between Sicily and Scotland, made at the table.
If you wish to echo that atmosphere at home, explore our linen tablecloths and finish the look with coordinated napkins
