I Quattro Canti
The Quattro Canti of Palermo are one of the city’s most iconic squares. Located in the heart of the historic center, at the intersection of Via Vittorio Emanuele and Via Maqueda, the square is made up of four corners, each featuring monumental Baroque palaces. Each façade presents a symbolic statue and niches with allegories of the four seasons, virtues, and the four patron saints of Palermo: Santa Rosalia, Santa Cristina, Santa Ninfa, and Sant’Oliva.
